Form NA2: Request for Entry Clearance and Personnel Verification of Foreigners

Form NA2 is the statutory request letter submitted by the sponsoring organization or enterprise in Vietnam to the Ministry of Public Security Immigration Department to request entry clearance and personnel verification for foreign nationals.

[!IMPORTANT] Legal Distinction between Request Form NA2 and Government Result Forms NB1/NB2/NB3:

• •Form NA2: The formal request/application submitted by the sponsoring entity. Form NA2 itself is not an approval letter.
• •Form NB1: The official entry clearance approval response issued by the Immigration Department to the sponsoring organization (commonly referred to as the Visa Approval Letter).
• •Form NB2: The official telegraphic notification sent to Vietnamese diplomatic missions abroad instructing visa issuance.
• •Form NB3: The written response letter to foreigners requesting entry/visa.

Statutory state processing timelines under Article 16 of Law No. 47/2014/QH13 (amended by Law No. 51/2019/QH14):

• •For Visa Collection at Diplomatic Missions Abroad: The Immigration Department considers, resolves, and replies (Form NB1) within not more than 05 working days from receiving complete and valid documents.
• •For Visa Collection at International Border Checkpoints: Statutory resolution time is not more than 03 working days from receiving complete and valid documents.
